Our
Story

Merritt & Watson Nonprofit Solutions is built on over 32 years of combined experience serving youth sports programs and community‑driven organizations.
What began as a friendship on a football field more than a decade ago has grown into a partnership rooted in trust, shared values, and a commitment to strengthening nonprofits.
Together, Christy and Stephanie bring deep expertise and community insight from the World Golf Village area and beyond—empowering organizations to create lasting impact.

Christy Watson is a nonprofit operations consultant, former JPMorgan Chase banking leader, and community‑driven problem solver with more than 14 years of experience supporting youth sports programs, families, and volunteer‑run organizations. After living across the Midwest and East Coast before settling in sunny Florida, Christy brings a broad understanding of how communities work and what families need to feel supported.
Christy began her career in early childhood education, studying child development and teaching preschool during the most formative years of a child’s life. Working closely with young children taught her how deeply families rely on stability, structure, and clear communication. That insight naturally led her into financial education and banking, where she spent a decade helping adults build confidence, strengthen their financial foundation, and create the stability their children depend on.
Her financial background and project‑management experience became the perfect combination: she understands people, she understands systems, and she knows how to build processes that actually work.
As her own children grew, Christy became deeply involved in youth sports and saw the same challenges appear again and again — unclear expectations, inconsistent communication, and hidden costs that left families guessing. She stepped in with the same approach she used in banking: clarify the process, rebuild the system, and make it easier for people to succeed.
Christy is known for her solution‑driven mindset and her heart for families. She blends financial expertise, operational structure, and genuine care to create programs that feel organized, transparent, and welcoming. If something is unclear, she clarifies it. If a system is broken, she rebuilds it. If a task needs to be done and no one else will take it on, she steps forward.
Today, Christy brings her child‑development background, financial education experience, banking leadership, and love for community into her work as co‑founder of Merritt & Watson Nonprofit Solutions. She helps organizations operate with stability, transparency, and long‑term sustainability — strengthening the programs that strengthen families.
